Can I use an image from your website on my website when talking about Nomadic?
Not without permission. Please see above regarding this. If you are granted permission, please remember to credit the Nomadic Preservation Society.
Can I embed an image from your website on my website without copying it, i.e. hot-linking?
If you would like permission to use the image, please contact us, however we would prefer you copied the image to your own server. Also, pleasse remember to credit the Nomadic Preservation Society.
Can I use an image from your website in a presentation about Nomadic?
Not without permission. Please see above regarding this. If you are granted permission, please remember to credit the Nomadic Preservation Society.
I see some of your images are watermarked, how do I get an un-watermarked copy?
If you are wanting to copy the image, please contact us for permission. We may be able to supply a copy of the image without watermarks. If you are permitted to copy the image, please remember to credit the Nomadic Preservation Society
Can I use an image from your website to produce postcards, mugs etc to sell?
You will need a license from us to use our works in order to do this. Please contact us to discuss pricing.
Can I use images from Lone Star or any other Nomadic Preservation Society publication in such a way?
Not without permission. Please contact us as detailed above regarding this. We may be able to supply higher-resolution digital copies of images if required.
I am a student, can I use images or text from your website in my school or college work?
You can use images and small snippets of text from the Nomadic Preservation Society website if the work is part of your course. You must credit the Nomadic Preservation Society though. Copying and pasting large amounts of text without crediting is plagiarism and may get you into trouble with your school or college.
Can I use your RSS news feed on my website?
Yes, you can use our RSS news feed on your website, as long as you credit the NPS and provide a link to our website.
I already have some of your images on my website and didn't ask permission. What should I do?
You should remove the images immediately and contact us, as detailed above to request permission.
Can I use one of your images which I found on another site?
Not without permission. The Nomadic Preservation Society still owns the copyright on the image. Please contact us for more information.

Why should I request permission?
The Nomadic Preservation Society owns the right to use the images, and has the right to permit others to do so. In order to prevent misuse of our images in ways which could be detrimental to the Nomadic Preservation Society, you need to ask permission. We can then evaluate whether your copying of the images will be in any way damaging to the Nomadic Preservation Society.
Will I have to pay to use your images?
If you are not planning to use the images for any commercial purpose then this is unlikely. If there is a charge, this will be explained to you when you contact us.
