Gold Award

NPS WEBSITE WINS COVETED GOLD AWARD!

The NPS website has been granted the coveted Gold Award by the Maritime Web Awards Committee. We were told of the award this week and are now eligible to display the gold shield on the NPS front page.

The shield is awarded, "To recognise excellence within the Non-Commercial Maritime Website Community".

It came as very much of a surprise to us and we are all very humbled and grateful.

The presentation text is shown below :-

"Sometimes we agonise over the level of award that submitted maritime websites should be granted, or whether they should be granted an award at all. But sometimes, quite rarely, we get told of a site that within a minute or two, leave us in no doubt.

We are delighted to say that the NOMADIC Preservation Society website is easily eligible for a Gold Maritime Web Award.

It is not only the amount of information about the NOMADIC herself, but all the ancillary information about the White Star Line and Harland & Wolff that set this website apart. A visitor could get lost for some considerable time, moving from one topic to other related ones (we did ourselves!!!), all with wonderfully recorded facts that should be a delight to anyone with a grain of sea salt in their veins! All built within a very navigable and professionally designed website - pure gold!"
